I’ll have a website-revamp in a couple of weeks to ring in the New Year and announce my exciting new sponsorships, but there is one that I just can’t sit on any longer. You all know how I am with news – I like sharing it!
I’ll be partnering with LOOK for my pedals and bike next year! I’m beyond thrilled. I have been a dedicated Keo user since early 2007, out of all the pedal systems I have ever used these remain my favorite thanks to their superior pedaling platform, low q-factor, and durability (the pair I bought in 2007 is still in action). As for the bike, I’ll be on the 576 triathlon bike, reviewed in Slowtwitch here. My bike will arrive in January, and I can’t wait to let you all know how it rides (fast) and looks (beautiful).
As an aside, 2010 will be my first year of racing on my own! Ever since I began bike racing in 2004, I have been part of a team that’s had its own sponsorships and goals. I thought about applying for triathlon teams when I found out that ValueAct Capital could not renew their cycling team sponsorship, but then I realized that this was a fabulous opportunity for me to form my own partnerships, directly. This year, I am really excited to have sponsorships with companies that I believe in thanks to their quality, values, development, aesthetic, attention to small athletes and women, and shared love of the sport. I’m really happy to be representing some fantastic companies this year and I can’t wait to race!
