Well, I don’t have *official* word yet as to whether this week’s scariness was H1N1 (understandably, the hospital has more important things to do than call me back with my lab result!) but I’m pretty sure that’s what it was. And I am feeling way better, no more fainting, thank god. Thank you for all the well-wishes!
Tomorrow I am going to re-attempt commencement of my winter training for the THIRD TIME this fall! I have had enough of getting random sicknesses that the whole country is also getting. Strep throat, swine flu, it’s ridiculous.
This weekend, though, I enjoyed some off-season fun. Ben and I went up to Vancouver, and it was awesome! We went for a long hike in Stanley Park (where a bird perched on my finger! swear!), stayed in a hotel with a view of the Olympic Rings barge, went out for an awesome dinner, went for a trail run, and then went to check out a horse for Ben’s cousin! Ben manned the carrots and the video camera while I rode. And yes, that is a cycling jacket, gotta stay true to my “roots”
.

loved the sound effects. I’ve never heard a horse make spring noises before. awesome!
it looks like my first attempt at starting 2010 training is about to be put on hold … I’ll fill you in more over email. Lame…
I’m catching up on your blog but I am sorry to hear you were sick and I am 100% super excited for you that you are going to Hawaii!!! So fun and it sounds like much needed. Thanks so much for your well=wishes on the blog. I’m starting to finally get over the mental part and I guess I’ll be better in 4=6 weeks so that’s not forever I guess. Hope you and ben are doing well…take care of yourself!!
