I have a collection of trivialities that I’ve tried three times now to coalesce into a blog post. I could give up but actually some of it’s cool.
Today I returned my U-Haul. On Friday I had intended to empty it and return it, but ugh I was so tired and therefore did neither. On Saturday I’d intended to return it after I took Ben’s mom with me to empty it and put everything into my storage unit, but ugh I was so tired. So today, even though it would have been sooooo nice to just stretch and nap after my training, I sucked it up and drove ALL THE WAY OVER to the U-Haul place. It took for forEVER. Actually, what did take for forever was my walk home. A mile and a half is a long way!
Anyway, it feels pretty good to have me and all of my stuff in the same geographical location. It’s been a while. So far the things I am really grateful for are my rainbows, my Coach bag, and CLOTHES!! I’ve been wearing Ben’s K-Swiss pants but they are kinda big. Oh, and I found my missing nail polish!
Tomorrow I am back to 5 a.m. masters swim. Woo. I was really spoiled when I was in California for training camp – I swam in outdoor pools with very flexible lap swim hours and I always had a lane to myself. I don’t think you could use even one of these features to describe swimming in Seattle, let alone all three! But I’m holding out hope that I’ll find a good swimming situation soon. I’m not sold on my current masters program, but I’m paid up through February. Next week I’m going to start testing waters that are a little further afield, oooooo what a pun. My mom will be proud.
K, bedtime. Oh one more thing, here’s a photo of me with Martina at camp last week! I think my individual shot turned out retarded (nothing to do with our top-class photographers, everything to do with my unfortunate habit of sleeping face-down in my pillow, as well as my unwillingness to wake up at 5 a.m. that day in order to get a hot shower) so I am not going to hyperlink to it, but I do love this photo, oh and Martina is pretty cool too
