I have a feeling I share quite a few readers with Ben Collins Dot Org (aka Ben), Loren (aka The Lorpeedo), and Greggy Greg (aka Greg when he is not in trubs for stealing my stuff)… those readers will know by now that I am not in the hotspot of fun-ness at the moment. Nope, I am up here in Incline all by my lonesome, with kitty of course who is totally partying without his nemesis (Greggy Greg) here. The three hyperlinked boys are all having fun down in Marin together, riding bikes and swimming in lagoons and aqua-jogging in varying states of togetherness, and consuming my stolen goods too. I am basically just doing boring things like cleaning house, which is much easier to do when the perpetrator of the messiness (hint: same person as the cat’s nemesis) is not around.

Other enviable items on my agenda:

-Last night was book club, and actually it was really cool. We spent at least 2 hours discussing the book, John Krakauer’s Under the Banner of Heaven. And conveniently, there were a couple of women who knew a lot more about the subject than what was presented in the book so we got some additional perspective. Meanwhile, Greg and Ben and Loren were camped out in front of Karate Kid??? Groan.

-This morning I swam. Very exciting. Meanwhile Greg and Ben were making googly eyes at one another over breakfast.

-This afternoon I want to nap. Also very exciting. Not sure what’s on the boys’ agenda but it’s bound to be more interesting, perhaps a blog about how much fun they are having together or something like that.

-Pinnacle of the week will be my attempt to combine a long ride with an hour or so of spectating at the nearby Tour de Nez on Saturday. They have a women’s race this year, I’ll be sure to ride my TT bike instead of my road bike so I don’t get tempted into racing at the last minute – in my head I know it would be a bad idea but sometimes crits are so fun! Meanwhile the boys will be preparing for their speedy ascents of Mt. Diablo on Sunday, probably dorking out on maps and percentage gradients and wind speed predictions and seat angles. (now who sounds boring!? ;) )

O.K. that’s about it.

We share like 3 readers aside of ourselves who read each other’s sites to see what the person says about me. for instance, I’m reading your site to see if you talk about me or my site. I’m sure Greg and ben will do the same as soon as they stop making out or talking about swimming at bob’s.

I train before 100% of the time before 7am (they don’t even know what it means when the little hand isn’t yet on the 8). I’ve ridden once with Ben in the past year though we’ve probably lived under the same roof for 45 days.

stop ruining my story with facts. you swam with them yesterday and that counts, plus i got sick of typing “greggy greg” all the time so i didn’t want to individually identify who was participating in what activity. i am stubbornly refusing to call him by his standard, preferred name.

The best part of ALL OF THIS?

The fact that I read ALL OF YOUR BLOGS and I get to sit and laugh at the hilarity of it all. Court – thanks for the sacrifices you’ve made.

Still, I can’t get over what a geekfest it must be over at the Lopeedo’s house right now. I really do feel bad for Greta.

And your comment about dorking out over maps and gradients is hilarious because it’s probably TRUE!!!

I have to say, I think it’s kind of nice with the perpetrator of messes is gone and I can clean and it will stay that way at least for a few hours.

AND I’M ENVIOUS YOU GET A NAP!!!!
